Jacks Creek, TN: Doris Annette Scott Jordan, age 84 passed away January 15, 2024, at home with her two daughters by her side.
She was born February 8, 1939, to the late Elias Isaac Scott and Eva Lena Ardell Fowler Scott.
She married James Ceron “Bill” Jordan in 1952 and they made their home in the Jacks Creek community of Chester County. Ann was a seamstress at Salant & Salant and then at Chester County Sportswear until she retired in 1999.
She and husband Bill enjoyed square dancing, spending time with family and road trips.
Mrs. Ann is survived by two daughters, Teresa Donnette Jordan Holder (Teddy) of Pinson, and Victoria Lynn Jordan Kamer (David) of Westmoreland; two sisters, Barbara Scott Rhodes of Jacks Creek and Betty Scott Swafford of Henderson; four grandchildren, Amy Lynnette Holder Ellis (James) of Trenton, Keri Leigh Holder Denbow (Wesley) of Henderson, Ryan Woodrow Barry of Michigan and Dylan Jordan Dodds of Westmoreland; seven great-grandchildren, Miriah Denton Taylor (Hunter), Logan Adam Denbow (Caitlin), Madison Ellis Pierce (Aaron), Jordan Leigh Denbow, Kinzlee Ariana Barry, Savannah Jordan Lee Dodds, and Cole Diesel Dodds; and three great-great grandchildren, Beau Alexander Taylor, Brett Ray Taylor and Wesson Adam Denbow; as well as many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 7 siblings (Delma Liles, Thomas Scott, L.C. Scott, Jerome Scott, Dorothy Latham, Lavelle Newsome, and Shirley Bailey.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 AM Monday, January 22nd , at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Dwight Jones and Keri Denbow officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Sunday at East Main Chapel. Burial will follow at Bailey Cemetery in Jacks Creek, where she will be laid to rest beside her husband.
