MIKE WALKER
Henderson, TN: Michael Lynn Wlaker, age 64, passed away March 8, 2026, at the VA Hospital in Memphis, TN.
He was born in Amarillo, TX on May 16, 1961, to the late Billy Thomas and Anna Herminia Lebron Walker. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1979. Immediately after graduating, Mike joined the US Navy, which he retired after 20 years of service.
Throughout Mike’s years in service, from 1992 to 1994 he was the US Navy E7 Chief Petty Officer Senior Fuels Supervisor / Quality Control Supervisor for 150 personnel. From 1994 to 1999 Mike was ranked as US Navy E8 Senior Chief Petty Officer Asst. Maintenance Officer and US Navy E8 Senior Chief as the Senior Enlisted Advisor to the Commanding Officer. Mike was the most senior enlisted person to his Commander. During his time, he achieved exemplary accomplishments such as being selected as top 1% of E-8’s and E-9’s throughout the Navy’s Senior Enlisted Academy. Achieving this, he received the academy’s highest honor as Distinguished Honor Grad.
Mike enjoyed traveling and being outdoors, which consisted of fishing, golfing and cookouts. He also liked working out, dancing and watching football.
Mr. Walker is survived by two sons, Michael Walker (Jillian), and Jeyton Walker and a daughter, Danielle Walker (Cody Newton; grandchildren, Anabelle Kramer, Remington Newton, Oaklynn Newton; five brothers, Billy “Bud” Walker, Jr., JT Walker (Laura), Richard Walker (Teresa), and Spencer Walker (Ashtyn); two sisters, Dorothy Lebron and Teresa McMurthy (Bill); and sister in law, Julia Walker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, Tom Walker and a s sister, Carman Lorenz.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday March 14, 2026, at Shackelford Funeral Directors Crook Avenue Chapel with burial at Chester County Memorial Gardens with Military Honors to follow.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Friday.
