Annette Pittman Perdue, 85, of Phenix City, Alabama, entered into the presence of the Lord in her new home in heaven, surrounded by family on Sunday, September 29, 2024. Annette was born on August 9, 1939, to the late Mary and Lester Pittman in Montgomery, Alabama. She was a devoted Christian and was very active in her church, Solid Rock Assembly in Midland, Georgia. She was a member of the service team at church, serving faithfully as a door greeter. Annette loved worshiping the Lord Jesus and always looked forward to attending Sunday service. Annette earned her Master's degree from Auburn University and subsequently established Speech Language Pathology Association of Columbus Inc., where she spent decades serving as a dedicated speech-language pathologist, until her retirement at the age of 80. Annette was a part of the Garden Club on Summerville Road and was an avid bridge player, attending social bridge games weekly. She loved entertaining in her home and cooking for her family and friends. She was a devoted mother and grandmother, very active in her children and grandchildren's lives. She loved her husband, Sonny Perdue, most of all, and remained his faithful and dedicated wife for 63 years until her passing. Her family will miss her deeply as will the many others who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Robert “Sonny” Perdue Jr. of Phenix City, Alabama; children, Matthew Perdue (Carol) of Phenix City, and Dr. Cristy Perdue (Suzie) of New York; and grandchildren, Elizabeth Perdue Hodgdon (Tyler), and Anna Kate Perdue.

A visitation will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 Hwy 431 North, Phenix City, Alabama, 36867, on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 11:00 am followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 pm officiated by Pastor Jay Bailey.
