Obituary published on Legacy.com by Legacy Remembers from Mar. 18 to Mar. 19, 2022.
After a brave and valiant battle against breast cancer, with her daughters by her side, Annette passed away in a faithful peace to the promised paradise of Jesus on March 12, 2022.

She was born June 3, 1952 in Glasgow, Scotland. Her parents are Sadie Montgomery and Alex Hay.

Annette married Bert Toms and together they had three children, Michelle Margaret (Scott Schroll ) Christopher James, and Sharon Lorraine (Bobby Ridenour, Jr.).

The family immigrated to the USA in 1974.

She married Daniel Willis in 1981 and together they traveled and started several businesses, both in Atlanta and in Louisiana.

A widow for the last 11 years, Annette has focused her life on enjoying her children, her grandchildren Woodrow Trace Wilson (Dallas), Caitlyn Margaret Ridenour , Bobby Joe Ridenour III, her Bonus grandchildren, Scottie Schroll (Amber)and Stephen Schroll (Lauren) and her adored great granddaughter, Sawyer Kate Wilson along with all the Schroll "Littles", Charlie, Caleb (CT), Lennon and Liam.

She was known as "Honey" to her beloved great-grandchildren. Making a Fairy Garden and spending so many wonderful days with them, brought her much joy.

Her beloved cat Zelda and dog Zoey were her constant companions over the last few years.

Annette had a brilliant mind with knowledge of a wide variety of subjects some of which were political science, ancient history, Bible history and the British Royal lineage.

Having been in a military family stationed in Cypress, she developed a deep love for the Greek culture, food and language.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Sadie, her son, Christopher, and her husband, Daniel.

She will be missed by her dearest sister, Marion Hay (Ahmed Darrar) and their sons Adam and Tarik of Atlanta.

Many other family members, friends and neighbors mourn her loss.

Her daughters, Michelle and Sharon have appreciated all the love and support they have received from so many of their friends and family during this difficult time. They will hold a celebration of life memorial at a later date.

A very special thank you to Annette's best friend, Janet Toms, for flying back home from Florida to be by Annette's side in her final days. Forever grateful.

A special thank you to St. Joseph Carpenter House amazing staff for showing Annette such love, grace, respect and dignity in her final days. Thank you to Susan Hill for ensuring Mom's care was of the highest standards.
