Rainey "Annette" Wilson went peacefully into the arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 16th with her husband by her side as she ascended to the glory of Heaven. She was born in Brinkley, Arkansas on April 22,1961. She was raised in a Christian family, found Christ very early in life and was a member of New Salem Baptist Church. She graduated from Soddy Daisy High School in 1979. She worked many jobs in the Hixson area and lived there most of her life.

As a young woman, she walked hand in hand, with her husband on the sands of many beaches, but none looked or felt better to her than the sugar of Destin. The walks on the beaches became walks in green grassy fields and fallen leaves of a quiet forest holding the hands of her two young sons. It was a special moment when she would catch glimpses of wildlife and small clusters of delicate flowers as she strolled the trails. Her two boys became young men, and the hand she now held was the same one she held many years ago, before the stresses of family life happened. It was time to head to the mountains in search of waterfalls. The cascading water, whether roaring or serene would give her peace and tranquility. The cool moist air beneath the falls cleared her head of the anxiety or desolate feelings that burdened her. She checked the box on every listed waterfall in North Carolina and Tennessee. She saw most of them in Alabama, Georgia and a few in Kentucky. She was up, she was down and she would go from the serenity of nature to the deafening sounds of man-made noise, many times on the same road trip. It could be NASCAR or NHRA. It might be dirt or asphalt….racin' was racin' to her. The Knox Nats & Eldora World were her last 2 races. She was GM all the way and yes, she was a die-hard Earnhardt & Jr. girl. She was a fisher girl, a small Tracker or big Phoenix, it didn't matter, she loved hitting the water. She loved to sleep in and turned into "Gator" if anyone bothered her but would make exceptions on fishing days. She targeted bass but anything that hit was good and would fish a school of stripers till her thumb was raw. She loved the feel of a bent rod and looked at reeling in every fish like opening a mystery box. She also loved to shop and was excellent at it. Everything she ever bought was at an incredible deal, and sometimes she would buy extras (just in case) to take advantage of the tremendous savings.

She left behind a very heartbroken family; Stirling, her husband of 45 years, her 2 gifts from God, sons Chris (Heather), Jermey (Miranda), and a very loved grandson Chase. Mother, Judy Ann Bright of Hixson. Father, Jerry Hawkins (Paulett) and stepbrother Roy, all of Hot Springs, Arkansas. Cousins, Alan (Melinda) & Mark (Stacy) Coulter of Millington, TN. Lee Coulter (Kendra) & Sonya Perry (Jim) of Hixson. Her little comfort Corgi, Mazzy Star

She was preceded in death by her stepfather James T Rees, maternal grandparents Henry & Mary Coulter of Hixson, and paternal grandparents Theodore & Edna Hawkins of Marked Tree, Arkansas. Her passed on puppies that have been playing and waiting patiently by the Rainbow Bridge: Jo-Jo, Casey, Brigitte, Leo, Cosmo and Kramer.
