Annette C. Young

Annette Young, age 89, passed away on February 1, 2026 at the Iron County Medical Care Facility, in Crystal Falls where she called home for the last three years.

Annette was born July 20, 1936 in Gladstone, MI, the daughter of Philip and Celia (Shiska) Richel. Annette was a lifelong resident of Gladstone prior to dementia. She loved her family and traveled extensively. Her favorite cruise was to Australia to see the kangaroos and koala bears.

She spent weeks in Las Vegas with family and traveled to Hawaii several times. Annette was employed with the State of Michigan at the license plate bureau and JC Penny briefly. She was a member of All Saints Catholic Church.

Daughter: Leslie (Douglas) Massignan of Crystal Falls, MI

Sons: Phillip Young of Escanaba, MI and Joseph Young Gladstone, MI

Grandchildren: Craig LaRose (Laurie) and their daughter Brianne (Derek), Matthew Young (Isabella) and their daughter Merlin

Daughter-in-law: Debra Young of Gladstone and her daughter Bobbie-Jo

Grandchildren in law Jason (Erin) and Andrew (Tuuli) Massignan and their children

Annette is preceded in death by her parents, brothers Lloyd, Philip, Raymond Young and a sister Muriel Matta.

Grandsons (in law) Jedidiah and Joshua

Family will receive friends on Friday, February 6, 2026 from 10:00 until 11:30 AM EST at the Gardens of Rest Cemetery Chapel in Wells, prayers will follow at 11:30 AM. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the Young family.
