Annie E. Adams-Hackworth, 94, of Perrysburg, OH, passed away at home on Thursday, January 1, 2026. She was born in Prestonsburg, KY on March 10, 1931 to Milt and Eliza (McKenzie) Holbrook. She married Leo Adams in Prestonsburg, KY on July 11, 1949. Annie and Leo raised 4 children and celebrated 56 years of marriage together until Leo's passing Christmas Day 2005. On February 2, 2008 she married Robert Hackworth in Stony Ridge, OH. Annie and Robert celebrated over 12 years together until Robert's passing in 2020.
Annie worked as a homemaker, taking care of her children and their home. She was a member of Emmanuel Freewill Baptist Church in Luckey. She enjoyed sewing, making quilts, and flower gardening. These are just a few joys in her life; however, it was spending time with her family especially her grand, and great-grandchildren that remained her greatest joy of all.
Annie, is survived by her children: Calvin (Belinda) Adams of Marysville, and Brenda (Terry) Snyder of Luckey, 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, sister, Beth Lee Wallen of KY, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husbands Leo Adams and Robert Hackworth, she was preceded in death by her parents, daughter LouAnn Martin, son Alvin Adams and 12 of her siblings.
Friends and Family will be received 9-11 a.m., with a funeral service at 11 a.m., Monday, January 12, 2026 at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 110 Main St., Luckey, OH. Officiating will be Pastor Rick Pelfrey. Interment will be in Troy Twp. Cemetery, Luckey.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of contribution to: Emmanuel Freewill Baptist Church, or a charity of the donor's choice. On-line condolences can be shared with the family at www.marshfuneralhomes.com.
