Annie Fry, 98, of Camp Hill, PA, passed away on Thursday, March 13, 2025, at the Bridges at Bent Creek in Mechanicsburg.
Born on February 12, 1927, in Raleigh, NC, she was the daughter of the late Naina (Ray) Holloway, and she was the widow of Dorsey H. Fry.
Annie was a 1945 graduate of Mechanicsburg High School. She went on to serve in the US Naval Reserve as a Woman Accepted for Volunteer Emergency Services (WAVES). She was a former switchboard operator with Bell Telephone. She was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, Camp Hill, PA. Annie dedicated many years working for the Republican Party. She was formerly head of the Republican Women's Committee, a representative for the National Republican Committee, and for many years she was a legislative assistant for Senator Harold Mowery, 31st District, Cumberland Co. Annie loved to play cards, especially pinochle. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.
Annie is survived by a daughter, Peggy Fry, of Oxford, England, Three sons: Roger Fry and his wife Sharon, of Camp Hill, PA, Thomas Fry and his wife Kate, of Mechanicsburg, PA, and Richard Fry and his wife Jaime, of Boiling Springs, PA, seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Dorsey H. Fry, a sister, Joyce Wall, and a son-in-law, Trevor Dixon.
All services will be handled at the convenience of the family and burial will be in Rolling Green Cemetery, Camp Hill. Myers-Baker Funeral & Cremation Services, Camp Hill, has been entrusted with funeral arrangements.
