Annie Earl Hall, affectionately known as "Sista," passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, in Dallas, Texas, at the age of 90. Born on November 9, 1934, in Waxahachie, Texas, Annie was the beloved daughter of JW Watson and Kathleen Ward Watson. Throughout her life, she demonstrated an unwavering spirit, characterized by her nice demeanor, quick wit, and a persistent resilience that allowed her to overcome life's challenges.
Annie devoted much of her professional life to serving as a laundry service manager at Alamo Laundry Mat, showcasing her strong work ethic and commitment to her responsibilities. In addition to her career, she embraced the role of a housewife, where she nurtured and cared for her family.
Annie was a true believer of God. She attended church faithfully. Annie was a woman of varied interests; she enjoyed fishing and possessed remarkable skills as a seamstress. In her leisure time, she delighted in watching television, especially her favorite shows including westerns, WWE wrestling, "Sanford and Son," and "Texas Walker Ranger." These moments of joy were a testament to her vibrant personality and love for entertainment.
She cherished her family deeply. Annie is survived by her son, Willie Hall, and her daughter, Shirletta “Lisa” Hall. Her legacy continues with six grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren who carry forward her spirit.
Annie was preceded in death by her cherished spouse, Benny Lee Hall, children, Georgia Jackson and Morris Hall, Bennie Lee Hall, Jr. as well as her parents, JW Watson and Kathleen Ward Watson. She also mourned the loss of her sibling, LC Jackson. Despite the sorrow of these losses, Annie remained a fighter, known for her sweet nature, although she had a fierce side when provoked.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Annie’s life at a viewing scheduled for September 4, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home in Dallas. This will be followed by a funeral service on September 5, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
Annie Earl Hall leaves behind a rich tapestry of memories, laughter, and love that will endure in the hearts of all who knew her. Her spirit will forever remain a guiding light for her family and friends.
