Annie Lou Hargrave, 79, of Baytown was born December 8, 1932 in Garrison, TX and passed away Saturday, June 2, 2012 in a local healthcare facility. She was a homemaker and very involved with her children. She was the official car pool driver for her kids and was a Brownie scout leader. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, casino trips, dancing, embroidering, gardening, reading, and holidays spent with her children. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Memorial Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Morris and Lela Durham; brother, Robert M. Durham; and sister, Alice Faye Smith. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Doyle "Pete" Hargrave of Baytown; son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Linda Hargrave of Spring; daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Jake Drews of Highlands; sister and brother-in-law, Frances and John Lauck of Houston: grandchildren and spouses, Jason and Carrie Brown, Kelly Brown, Erin Hargrave, Larry Hargrave II, Julie Hargrave, and Carrie and Cory Istre; and great grandchildren, Alyssa Brown, Jon Brown, Mia Ugalde, Michael Daniecki, Makenzie Daniecki, Thomas Istre, and Hannah Hargrave. Her family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Monday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 5, 2012, at 2:00 p.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Lyons officiating. Burial will follow at White Cemetery in Highlands. Serving as pallbearers will be Jason Brown, Jon Brown, Jake Drews, Larry Hargrave II, David Hargrave, and Larry Hargrave. In lieu of usual remembrances, contributions may be made to the Shriners Hospitals for Children, 6977 Main St., Houston, TX 77030-3701.
