Annie Elizabeth Towns, affectionately known as Ann to those who loved her most, was called to her eternal home on December 26, 2025, in
Midland, Texas. Born on October 14, 1932, in
Rodessa, Louisiana, Ann's journey through life was marked by faith, love, and an indomitable spirit that touched all who knew her.
Ann's professional life was marked by her entrepreneurial spirit and her dedication to her community. She was the proud owner of The Sewing Basket, an alteration and sewing business that served many, including local high schools for which she made costumes. Her daughters' twirling outfits were crafted with love and skill, a testament to her talent and devotion as a mother. She also worked at Bradbury's Men's Clothing Store, Weisman's Department Store, and for two decades, she ran Ann's Tax Service, where she served her clients with integrity and expertise as a Certified Public Accountant.
Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence. As a devout Christian, Ann walked in the light of the Lord's love, spreading kindness and compassion wherever she went. Her interests reflected the vibrancy of her personality; she cherished the melodies of Hank Williams and Elvis Presley, and she shared spirited rock and roll sessions with her daughter Jan. Ann found beauty and peace in her garden, nurturing her roses with the same care she provided to her family and friends. Her collection of salt and pepper shakers from her travels was a cherished hobby that spoke of her love for exploration and the simple joys of life.
Most of all, Ann loved her family and friends. She was a beacon of generosity, always ready to share what she had with those in need. Her memory will be cherished, her lessons remembered, and her love will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know her.
She was preceded in death by her beloved baby boy, her devoted husband James Allen Towns, her parents Sylvester Guy and Catherine Streetman, her siblings Bonnie Moss, Joyce Stewart, Guy Streetman, Will Streetman, and her great-granddaughter Aubry Ann Pyka. Their reunion in heaven is a tender consolation to those they have left behind.
Ann's legacy continues through her loving daughters, Pam Towns McAnally and husband Scott of Pecos, Texas, and Jan Towns Jeffries and husband Mark of Keithville, Louisiana. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy to her life, will miss her profoundly. They include Eric Hansen and wife Kinsey, Jaymi Westrup and husband Brett, Jerra Pyka and husband Ryan, Darian Jeffries, and her great-grandchildren Linkoln, Harper, Beck, Bretlynn, Brystol, Bryton, Bracey, Sutton, Haisley, Henley, Heidi, and Ivy as well as Laura Towns, Bill Towns, and Michael & Eddie Moss, and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
A Life Celebration funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 3rd, 2026 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cammack Family Chapel. Family and friends will gather for a time of visitation prior to the service beginning at 1:00 p.m..
Ann's life was a testament to her strength and resilience, having gracefully endured many medical challenges. Her unwavering faith and the support of her cherished family provided her comfort and solace throughout her battles.
As we bid farewell to Annie Elizabeth Towns, we celebrate a life lived with purpose and grace. May she rest in the peace of Christ, and may her spirit continue to guide us until we meet again in the glory of God's Kingdom.
