Annie Belle Adams Walker went home to her Heavenly Father on August 15, 2025, at the age of 90. Annie Belle was born on December 21, 1934 to William Cicero and Lillie Pace Adams of Sikes, LA.
Annie Belle was a devoted Christian lady and made sure those values were instilled in her own children. She was a faithful member of Eastside Missionary Baptist Church.
Annie Belle came to Minden after graduating from high school where she met the love of her life. She and Rodney married after a whirlwind romance of 4 months and enjoyed seventeen years together. She raised two strong women. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed feeding many guests through the years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Earl Walker, parents William Cicero and Lillie Belle Adams, stepmother Dorothy Adams, sister Jenice Heard, Etha Lee Baten, and Hazel Melton, in-laws B.A. and Thalia Walker and son-in-law Terry L. Gardner.
She is survived by her children Deborah Ann Walker Gardner of Minden, Sonja Denise Walker Smith and her husband Butch of Bethany. LA; grandchildren Rodney Orin Smith of Pittsburgh, PA, Megan Elizabeth Smith Dixon and husband Duane of Fayetteville, AR; great grandchildren Dean Walker Dixon and Halle Kay Dixon; sisters Ellen Ruth Butler, Arcadia, LA and Mary Lee Carpenter of Dodson, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life will be held Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Eastside Missionary Baptist Church, 1201 Park Hwy, Minden, LA with Bro. Richard Methvin officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be at Gardens of Memory Cemetery.
The family would like to express their appreciation to her many caregivers at The Colums of Germantown and Allegiance Hospice.
