James W. “Jim” McDaniel
James W. “Jim” McDaniel, age 82, of Minden, Louisiana, passed away February 8, 2026. He was born March 14, 1943, to the late Troy B. McDaniel and Beulah J. McDaniel.
Jim was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather whose life was marked by service, hard work, and dedication to his community. He retired from the Webster Parish Sheriff’s department, where he served faithfully. Prior to his law enforcement career, he worked many years as a salesman, representing several national automobile parts distributors as well as equipment and battery manufacturers. Through his work relationships, he built lasting friendships and earned the respect of those who knew him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Annette McDaniel of Minden; children, Tammie Tullos (Kirk) of LaGrange, Georgia, Steve McDaniel of Plano, Texas, and Tena Carraway; his brothers, Tommy McDaniel and Johnny McDaniel, both of Minden; along with extended family, Greg Smith and Carla Gray and friends who will cherish his memory.
Jim was preceded I death by his parents, Troy B. McDaniel and Beulah J. McDaniel.
His legacy of commitment to family, community, and service will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing him
A private family graveside will be held at a later date.
