Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hatcher Funeral Home & Cremation Service - Graniteville on Apr. 7, 2024.
Mrs. Annie Weeks, 94, wife of the late Mr. Ray Lewis Weeks, entered into rest on Saturday, April 6, 2024.
The family will greet friends on Monday, April 8, 2024, from 2 until 3 at Hatcher Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 3464 Jefferson Davis Highway, Graniteville, SC 29829, followed by a graveside service at 3:30 in Warrenville Cemetery, 160 Cemetery Road, Warrenville, SC 29851 with Rev. Mike Kelly officiating. Pallbearers will be Kevin Seigler, Dylan, McCary, Carson Weeks, Brayden McCary, Chase Weeks, and Wayne Harrison.
Mrs. Weeks was born in Bavaria, Germany, to the late Henry and Marie Natzi Bär, and she came to the States in 1948. She and her husband were some of the first foster parents in Aiken County. She worked for Graniteville Company's Warren Division with fifteen years of service. A dedicated member of Stiefeltown Baptist Church, Mrs. Annie loved the Lord. She enjoyed yardwork, cooking, sewing, traveling to Hilton Head and home to Germany, but she especially loved spending time with her family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a daughter Martha Green and her siblings, Gertrude Deiner and Horst Bär.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Hilda Hanks, of Warrenville, SC, Jeanette Seigler-Sheehan (Tom), Augusta, GA, and Joey Weeks (Bonnie), of North Augusta, SC; her grandchildren, Robert Lee Smith III, Julie (Bill) McCary, Nicholas (Tracie) Seigler, Nichole (Wil) Lee, Erika Green, Jason (Erin) Green, Brant (Michelle) Green, Carson Weeks and Chase Weeks; her great-grandchildren, Dylan McCary, Brayden McCary, Kevin Seigler, Emery Seigler, Reed Seigler, Olivia Lee, Liam Lee, Faith Green, Lillian Green, Logan Green, Lucas Green, Cameron Burch, Christina Burch, Kenzer Green, Emily Green and Jay Green; and her great-great-granddaughter, Cora Harris.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stiefeltown Baptist Church.
