Gloria Ellis Weeks

Gloria Ellis Weeks, the beloved cornerstone of her family, passed away peacefully in her home on February 3rd 2026, surrounded by the love of the family she spent her life building.

A true Southern lady, Gloria was known for her gentle soul and a kindness that knew no bounds. She never met a stranger, and to know her was to be welcomed into her circle with open arms. While she was proud of her Southern heritage and traditions, her favorite place in the world wasn't a specific town or landmark-it was wherever her family happened to be.

Gloria's kitchen was the heart of her home. She was a master of Southern comforts, famous for her world-class pimento cheese and her legendary cakes. Her caramel and red velvet cakes were more than just desserts; they were tokens of her love that will be deeply missed at every family gathering.

She leaves behind a legacy of 66 years of beautiful marriage to her husband, Wallace Weeks. She is also survived by her children, Dawn (Richard Harrison), Bill (Wendy), and Rob (Miranda); her three cherished grandchildren, Sara (Chris Mhoon), Colby (Audrey Hoel), and Will; and four great-grandchildren, Kinsley, Myles, Piper, and Callie, all of whom she adored.

Gloria got the most out of every moment of her life. Her family will carry forward her spirit of kindness, her recipes, and the memory of her gentle, caring nature.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1PM on February 14th at First Baptist Church on Bayshore in Niceville, FL. In honor of Gloria's hospitable spirit, the family encourages you to share a kind word with a stranger today.
