Anthony Baldoni Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Hahn Funeral Home on Sep. 24, 2025.
Anthony (Tony) Baldoni, 88, passed away peacefully at home on September 24, 2025.

Tony proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Closer to home, he was a member of the DeAmici Club and Audubon Society for many years. He loved traveling internationally on birding expeditions and birding locally at state parks. When not outdoors, Tony enjoyed his wife's cooking and baking, and watching football. Tony retired from Pepsi Cola after a successful career as a route salesman.

People who knew Tony may remember him fondly as opinionated, intelligent, outspoken, tough, and a loyal friend. His wife and daughters would agree, and also say he was a good provider, an honorable man, and a caring husband and father. Saturdays with dad when the girls were young meant going to a Notre Dame football game, Potawatomi Zoo or Bonnie Doons.

Tony is survived by his best friend and loving wife, Sharon, of 58 years; sister Clarice (Joe) Ruppe of Mishawaka; daughters Schelley (Steve) Schroeder of Cassopolis, Debbie (Kevin) Acrey of Mishawaka, and Carmen (Keith) Wright of Mishawaka; grandchildren Liane Ciotola of Kalamazoo, and Scott Schroeder, Aubrey Acrey and Kincade Acrey of Mishawaka; and great-grandchildren Josephine Ciotola and Lincoln Crowell. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Josephine, and his brother, John.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation in celebration of Tony's life on Sunday, September 28, 2025, from 3pm to 6pm at Hahn Funeral Home, 505 West 8th Street, Mishawaka. Tony will be laid to rest at Potato Creek State Park Porter Rea Cemetery, at a private family service.

Contributions in memory of Tony can be made to the Center for Hospice at 501 Comfort Pl, Mishawaka, or the Audubon Society at https://www.audubon.org/
