Anthony L. Bosley a beloved man known for his kind, loving, caring and humorous personality, left us on August 29, 2024. He was born on March 23, 1951, to the late John Ross and Grace Bosley. On June 22, 2001, Anthony rejoiced in marriage with Susan Winchell and lived a life filled with tremendous passion and service towards others.
Left to cherish his memory are his son, Chris and his wife Sharon Bosley and son, Craig and wife Kristine Bosley. Added to his joy were his stepsons, Seth Hughes and Adam and Sharon Hughes.
Beloved grandchildren Silas and Willow Bosley, Kate Bosley and step-grandson Jon. Step-grandchildren Hayden, Ashley and Brady Hughes, Ariana and Trenton Beauch.
He is survived by sisters, Sharon Hamel, Carol (Murray) Hansen and LuAnn Harrison. Sisters and brothers-in-law, Rev. Jean Winther, Tom (Esther) Winchell, Michele (Joe) Grant, Kim Winchell & Carol Rames.
Anthony had a great love for all of his families' children.
Anthony was born in St. Ignace and grew up in DeTour Village. He was the Mayor of DeTour Village and volunteered for the ambulance corps and fire department. He loved hunting, fishing, camping and motorcycling. He loved his community and as a carpenter showed it in many ways. His career as the Chippewa County Building Official was respected by all.
Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Ross and Grace Bosley; brothers, Jack Bosley, and Chuck (Marilyn) Bosley; sister, Denise Thompson; brothers-in-law, Burton Hamel, Delores (Fred) Rye, Chuck Harrison and David King; mother and father-in-law, Bruce and Jean Winchell; and stepdaughter Heather Hughes.
A Memorial Service will be held at the DeTour Union Presbyterian Church, 166 Ontario St, DeTour Village, MI 49725, at 11:00 AM on September 7, 2024, with a luncheon following.
There will be family visitation at the church from 10 to 11 before the service.
Family Life Funeral Homes assisted the family with arrangements. Condolences may be left to the family at www.familylifefh.com.
