Anthony J. Brodnik

Funeral Mass for Anthony J. Brodnik, 90, of Willowick, will be 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 12, at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 29850 Euclid Ave., Wickliffe. Anthony passed away Monday, Aug. 8, 2022, at UH Lake West Medical Center in Willoughby. He was born May 31, 1932, in Cleveland. Anthony was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church in Wickliffe and the St. Clair Rifle Club. Anthony enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating and attending his grandchildren’s athletic games (baseball/football/softball). Family was so important to him. Mr. Brodnik retired from P.P.G. and the Lake County Sheriff’s Department. He was the loving father of Anthony M. (Tami) Brodnik, Victoria A. Simmons, Michael A. (Patricia) Brodnik and Mark A. (Shannon) Brodnik; cherished grandfather of Joseph (Danielle) Brodnik, Matthew (Melissa) Brodnik, Christopher (Shannon) Brodnik, Daniel (Samantha) Simmons, Alyssa Simmons, Brianna Simmons, Barbara Brodnik, Anna Brodnik (fiancé, Angelo Pasquino), Jessica Brodnik (fiancé, John), Luke Brodnik, Peter Brodnik and Lois Brodnik; and great-grandfather of Laila, Madison, Ella, Avery, Wyatt, Layla and Kaelyn. Anthony was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Victoria Ann (nee Pecnik) Brodnik in 2022; parents, Anton and Anna (nee Zakrajsek) Brodnik; and brother, Edward (Rita, dec.) Brodnik. Family will receive friends to celebrate his life from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 11, at McMahon-Coyne-Vitantonio Funeral Home, 38001 Euclid Ave., Willoughby. Anthony will be interred along beside his wife, Victoria at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Seville at 2:45 p.m. Monday, Aug. 15.
