It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Anthony J. Busillo of South Philadelphia on May 21, 2021, at The Samaritan Center at Mount Holly, NJ, at the age of 79, surrounded by his nieces Angel Musumeci and Billie Rae Brandt.

Anthony was predeceased by his beloved wife Florence Busillo (née Tolentino), parents Rose Busillo (née DelBeato) and Angelo Busillo, daughter Dana Busillo, son Anthony Busillo, and twin sisters Rae Wardino (née Busillo) and Dolores Mercaldo (née Busillo). Left to cherish his memory are his nieces, nephews, cousins and all who knew him.

Anthony's talents were many, apart from being a devoted husband, father, brother and uncle, he joined the Philadelphia Police Department in 1965 where he served 38 years on the force and retired with multiple recognitions in 2003. Prior to becoming a Police Officer, Anthony was an accomplished musician and under the stage name "Mark Valentino," his hit song, "The Push and Kick" reached Billboard's "Hot 100" in 1962. In celebration of his success he was featured on Dick Clark's "American Bandstand." His family takes peace in knowing that he is in a place where "Sunday Dinner" will be served for eternity.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather SATURDAY, JUNE 12, 2021, 10:30 A.M. at THE MONTI-RAGO FUNERAL HOME, INC., 2531-35 SOUTH BROAD STREET. Service to begin at 11:30 A.M. (at Funeral Home). The family would like to express our thanks for the wonderful care that he received at The Samaritan Center at Mount Holly. In lieu of flowers the family asks that a donation be made to their local animal shelter in Anthony's name.
