Dr Cannon and I decided to heal the world´s problems by discussing what needed to be done. His goal was to treat the whole patient by discovering what one´s personal life involved. I am so hard hit by his death. We called ourselves friends and shared our interest in "frogs". Rest in Peace, Dr. Cannon. You are sorely missed.

Appts were proactive, progressive, informative, & loved that he embraced technology. I am heartbroken and sadden to hear about the passing of Dr. Cannon. He was my doctor, a great friend, and client of our accounting firm. As his patient he kept my diabetes under control and saved me from significant issues with my feet. It was always a pleasure to see him for my appointments and interact with him on a professional and personal level.

Dr. Cannon was a brilliant trusted physician and a wonderful person. He always treated my wife Darlene and I as if we were family. It was a privilege to have known him and we will never forget him. This is a major loss to the medical profession.

I was deeply saddened to hear about the passing of my favorite Dr. Anthony Cannon. I was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism and referred to this amazing doctor over thirty years ago. I moved to Delaware and remained his patient. Dr. Cannon became like a father to me with his words of wisdom and concern for his patient´s. I will never forget him.

Expressing my condolences to Tony´s family. I feel blessed to be Tony´s colleague and friend. We served together on the local ADA Advisory Board and would call each other to exchange ideas. His passion for the welfare of patients and the community was unmatched. He spoke so eloquently but his legacy will live through his actions and work to promote diabetes care for so many. He was a truly wonderful person!

I have known Tony professionally for nearly 20 years, had the pleasure to call him a colleague for the past 10 years, and the absolute fortune to share a cubicle with him for the past 4 years. Up close, he was just an amazing individual-a true one of one. Every day, every patient, every case was the most important and exciting case he had ever seen. We could go back and forth for days (if not weeks!) about his favorite or most complex cases.
I have never met another colleague who opened himself up to his patients as much as Tony-routinely welcoming personal calls and messages directly from his patients. But it was always done in an effort to provide the care that he knew each and every one of his patients deserved!
Losing him definitely leaves a large void in our endocrine community. However, through his example, his enthusiasm, his teaching, we know that his impact will be felt for generations to come.

I was referred to him by my dentist after sharing my frustrations about not getting good care. Dr. Cannon was wonderful, empowering, respectful, deeply knowledgeable, competent and kind. I met Doctor Cannon a few years ago as he was taking care of my daughter who was in serious condition. He diagnosed her quickly and got her on the right path. When I met him I knew we were in the right place. He was brilliant, kind and funny, just a genuine nice man ,you could tell how much he cared about the patient.There are Doctors and there are healers, he was a true healer. A tremendous loss to all. Dr. Anthony J. Cannon was a Angel to the Camden Rescue Mission in the City of Camden for the past 30 years. My daughter Mary and I have been patients of Dr. Cannon for 40 years. Needless to say, he was the most wonderful, caring and supportive doctor and we will miss him so much. He was always there for us when needed. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.

You ever meet someone that changes your life, saves you from yourself? I was a kid drowning, ready to throw in the towel. Let's just say Dr. Cannon was my angel. There will be no person better. I will forever miss him.

Tony Cannon was an inspiring doctor, a singular mind and a renaissance man who had interests in a vast range of topics. He was one of the people who made me think, when I talked to him, 'I will never be as smart as Tony Cannon.' He was a role model for what a physician ought to be and I'm sure inspired generations of students and peers to join him in his intensity and enthusiasm in everything he did. I have worked with Dr. Cannon at Diabetes and Endocrinology for 9 yrs then he took me with to Sleep and Wellness for 2yrs . He was mentor to my children and myself. He had taught us so much. He will truly be missed.I´ve had the pleasure of working with Dr. Cannon at Diabetes and Endocrinology for nine years. Later, he took me under his wing and guided me to Sleep and Wellness for two years. He was like a mentor to my children and myself, sharing so much wisdom with us. He´ll be deeply missed.

Dr.Cannon was my Endocrinologist for 10 years. He was a brilliant doctor. I was shocked to hear that he had died. He would always explain my test results and
listen when you had questions and try to help you do better next visit. He was kind and caring and very funny. When your appointment was over he would say now go and make me look good! I am so very sorry for the loss of Dr. Cannon. My family followed him from office to office and the distance never mattered. If it wasn´t for Dr Cannon´s unwavering dedication this healthy baby girl whom is now six years old would not have been here. He took excellent care of my daughter while she was pregnant. She is type 1 as well as hypothyroidism. He´s also taken care of me, my husband, and three of our daughters. He always said that my oldest child and her pregnancy gave him grey hairs. He was truly loved by our family and are extremely broken hearted for his family and friends. He will never be forgotten.

I am simply speechless. My heart is broken and just in complete shock. I have only respect and gratitude for Dr. Cannon, he is the type of person and doctor that is needed in the healthcare industry and the fact that he genuinely cared about his patients is just another reason why is was just a phenomenal person. God blessed us (his patients), family and friends with such a dynamic and unforgettable being Family my prayers go out to you in your time of grief and know that he will always be there with you in your heart.

Dr. Cannon was always full of joy when he would come in the office. When I 1st met him at Jefferson, he told me that he was going to fire me as a patient if I didn't get myself together that was in 2019. I've been riding with him every since, because he actually took the time to learn me as a person and not treat me like a patient. He cared for us like we cared for him. Dr. Cannon you will truly be missed.

Learned of Dr. Cannon passing this morning. I'm at a total loss for words. I immediately started crying as I became a patient of Dr. Cannon about 3 years ago. The kindness, sincere dedication to his patients was incredible. My deepest condolences to his family. I pray for peace and comfort for the Cannon family. Dr.Cannon always spent time answering all my questions. He was amusing and entertaining especially when explaining issues that manner to him such as his office or expressing his opinion of weight loss medications on Twitter. I pray for his family and friends. I will miss interacting with him during our appointments.

I was so sorry to hear of Dr Cannon´s passing. I had the privilege of working with him in the Willingboro-BMA office back in the mid 9O´s & early 2000´s. He was a super smart Dr & expected a lot from his staff but we learned a lot from him & loved his personality. One of my favorite memories is when he would tell us what to tell a patient, what medications to call in & would end his conversation with us with "make me look good". I also remember his love of cars & that he would have a guy detail his car right in the parking lot at the office. I´m praying for his family & friends at this difficult time.

Dr. Cannon was my Endocrinologist for nearly 2 years. He was very intelligent and connected with his patients on a personal level when it came to overcoming health concerns. Thank you, Dr. Cannon, for everything you've done for me. You will be missed.

I had the honor and privilege of spending a month with Dr. Cannon in April 2025 as a medical student rotating with him in his office. He is the most brilliant physician I have ever known and he will deeply impact me for the rest of my life. Never have I worked with a doctor who taught me so much, printed me so many articles to read, or walked me through decision making like he did. I have also never laughed so much on a rotation. I will be pursuing endocrinology as my career and I can only hope to continue his legacy in the field he was so endlessly passionate about. May his memory be a blessing and give strength to those close to him.

Dr.Cannon was my doctor and friend for at least 35 years. His compassion was felt by all.
He was deeply admired by all of us. A bright light and dear man has moved on. My heart tells me he will help countless more as an angel at God's elbow. He is playing the nineth hole, God Speed dear heart, journey on in love.

I'm so saddened by the passing of Dr. Cannon. I have been a patient of his since 2009 and he was by far the most compassionate doctor I've ever had. He listened to all my concerns at every appointment and we spent just as much time talking about current events as we did about my health. He always asked about my family and helped me navigate the grief of losing my mother to breast cancer last year. I'll never forget the first time I went to see him at the start of my journey with Graves' disease back in 2009 and he was so excited because I had the most extreme symptoms he'd ever seen and he promised me he'd be able to manage my condition...a promise he kept for 16 years. I will miss the "smiley face" or "frowny face" he'd always give me after every appointment depending on how well I was doing at the time.

To his family - My most heartfelt condolences for the loss of this incredible man and doctor and thank you for sharing him with us. I only knew him as his patient, but he always treated me with the utmost care and respect and for that I will always be grateful.
