Antonio E. Costa, age 72 of New Bedford, passed away on June 6, 2025 at Saint Luke's Hospital.
Born in Terceira, Azores, the son of the late Antonio and Noemia (Esteves) Pereira.
Tony was a self employed carpenter, he enjoyed playing golf, watching soccer, cooking for and spending time with family and friends both in the US and in his home country.
Antonio is survived by his loving children, Kristofer Costa of Taunton, Ryan Costa and his wife Leslie of Acushnet and Ashley Quinones and her husband Brandon of CA. Grandfather of Kristofer, Adriana, Chase and Chelsea. He was the companion of Fatima Pestana.
Tony was also the loving brother of Jose Costa of Azores, Carlos Pereira, John Pereira, Rachel Mather all of Taunton, Connie Macedo of FL and Maria Delgado of New Bedford.
Tony's funeral will be held on Friday, June 13, 2025 at 8:30am from the Silva Funeral Home 80 Broadway (at Saint Mary's Square) Taunton, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Anthony Church School Street, Taunton.
Interment will be held privately.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 12th from 4 to 7pm in the Silva Funeral Home. Additional parking with handicap access is located on the North side of the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that memorial gifts be made in support of Kristofer Costa, Tony's son living with multiple sclerosis, in Tony's memory.
