Anthony “TJ” Cusumano, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away peacefully on March 11th, 2025, surrounded by family. Born on January 15, 1950, in Francofonte, Italy, he was predeceased by his parents, Lucia and Salvatore Cusumano and his sister, Sebastiana Cusumano. He is survived by his devoted wife, Josephine of Grand Island, FL and his children, Salvatore Cusumano and spouse Allison of Kissimmee, FL, Lucia Burger and spouse Creig of Hudson, NY, and Sara Cusumano and spouse Kaitlin of Phoenix, AZ as well as his six cherished grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Anthony immigrated to the United States in 1969 and began working for Eagle Clothes in New York City. Anthony met and married the love of his life, Josephine, in 1975. 50 years! With determination and hard work, the two became business owners where they successfully ran TJ Auto Service in Hudson, NY for 47 years. Upon retiring, they found joy in Grand Island, FL, relishing leisurely days and cherished trips to Sicily, where beautiful memories were made. Anthony had a deep passion for animals, gardening, traveling, and baking homemade bread. Above all, he treasured the time spent with his family, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. His kindness, dedication, and warmth will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. A funeral mass to honor Anthony's life will be held on Monday, March 17th, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Harden/Pauli Funeral Home, Eustis, FL. A visitation will take place from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Interment will be at Lakeside Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to The Daisy Foundation. The DAISY Award is a program designed to honor and celebrate nurses by collecting nominations from patients, families, and colleagues. This initiative serves as a heartfelt way to express gratitude for the care and compassion nurses provide. During his time in care, Anthony met many nurses who showed remarkable kindness and empathy. The family will forever be thankful for the nurses who cared for him.
