Anthony D'Amodio, Jr., beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on January 8, 2025, at the age of 89. Born on August 23, 1935, in Queens, NY to his parents Amtomono and Mary. Anthony lived a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
He is survived by his devoted spouse, Marie D'Amodio, who stood by his side through the years, sharing in both the joys and challenges life presented. Anthony was a proud father to his three children: Vinny, Donna Chandler, and Michael. He found immense joy in his role as a grandfather to his five adoring grandchildren, whose lives he enriched with his love and wisdom.
Anthony will be remembered for his warmth, kindness, and the unwavering support he offered his family. His legacy of love and laughter will continue to resonate in the hearts of those who knew him.
Visitation services will be held at Mangano Family Funeral Home, located at 1701 Deer Park Ave, Deer Park, NY 11729. Friends and family can pay their respects on January 12, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 4:30 PM and again from 6:00 PM to 8:30 PM. A prayer service will be held during visitation at 4:00 PM. A burial will take place on January 13, 2025 at Calverton National Cemetery. Family and friends who wish to attend the funeral are asked to meet at the funeral home by 9:30 AM.
Anthony's life was a testament to the enduring bonds of family and the impact one individual can have on the lives of many. He will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege to love and know him.
