Anthony DiFabrizio Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Lehrer-Gibilisco Funeral Home - Rahway on Jan. 12, 2026.
Anthony "Tony" DiFabrizio, age 66, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, on Wednesday, January 7, 2026.

Tony was a tireless, hardworking family man who worked until he could no longer do so. His family was his pride and joy, and everything he did was for those he loved. He leaves behind a legacy of devotion, sacrifice, and unconditional love.

Tony was predeceased by his devoted father, Dominick DiFabrizio.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Joanne (Malsam) DiFabrizio; his mother, Erma; his sister Florence; and his brother-in-law John; his son Anthony and daughter-in-law Chrissy; and his daughter Stephanie. He was a proud grandfather to Kailei, Anthony, and Giulia, who brought him endless joy. Tony is also survived by many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Tony spent the majority of his career working at Newark Airport before pursuing his passion and opening his own landscaping business, a craft he had great talent for. He was also a long-standing member of the Rahway Yacht Club, where he enjoyed time on the water and built lasting friendships. Beyond his work and family, Tony was a friend to many - known for his loyalty, generosity, and willingness to lend a helping hand.

As children, we always knew how deeply we were loved, and we now appreciate even more how hard our dad worked and how much he sacrificed to give us a beautiful life.

Tony achieved so much in his time on this earth, but his greatest accomplishment was the family he built and the many meaningful friendships he formed along the way.

God bless Tony. We cannot imagine anyone more deserving of a beautiful welcome into Heaven. Heaven has gained the ultimate angel.

Forever loved and deeply missed.

Services were held on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at The Lehrer-Gibilisco Funeral Home located at 275 West Milton Ave in Rahway, NJ 07065.
