Anthony, who left this world on February 27, 2026, at the age of 56. Born on July 18, 1969, in the quaint community of Lanse Meg, where he forged a deep love for the great outdoors. A proud graduate of Mamou High School, Anthony carried the spirit of his roots with him as he ventured into life, always cherishing the beauty of nature and the simple joys it offered.
Throughout his life, Anthony found solace in the gentle embrace of the Amite River, often sitting on his porch, watching the world go river flow, allowing its rhythm to guide his thoughts and dreams. He spent most of his adulthood in Clinton, Louisiana, where was often found fishing. Anthony delighted in preparing Cajun dishes that brought people together, forging friendships over shared meals and stories which often resulted in his unique infection laugh. In moments of quiet reflection, he turned to the pages of books, finding both adventure and wisdom amongst words. His thirst for knowledge and love for reading were defining features of his character.
He is survived by his beloved mother, Trudy Guillory, who will carry his memory close to her heart; brother, Adam Doucet and his wife, Vicky; sisters. Sandra Brazan and her husband, Frank and Cynthia Balfa, and her husband, Tim; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Anthony is preceded in death by his father, Kerney Joseph Doucet.
