Anthony Peter Dudick also known as "Skip", 85, of Tinton Falls, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, December 15.
Skip was born and raised in Long Branch to the late Philomena and Michael Dudick. After graduating from Long Branch High School he began working. He was an entrepreneur at heart and embarked on many business ventures over the years ranging from owning a Hair salon, Bar and restaurant, Italian deli, Auto body repair shop, Glass and mirror business and flipping houses. He married, began his family and then moved to Eatontown, where he raised his children. For a short time Skip moved to Arizona where he became a blackjack dealer on an Indian reservation before moving to Tinton Falls where he has resided since. Before retiring Skip took his final and most beloved job as a special needs bus driver.
Skip enjoyed playing golf, horse racing at Monmouth Park, gaming at Atlantic City, and going on adventures with his children. Most of all, Skip loved spending time with his family and making memories that they will always cherish.
He was a kind, generous, gentleman always looking out for the needs of others and warmly loved by all of his neighbors. Skip was a sharp dressed man and his hair was always perfect and you could rarely find him without a toothpick in his mouth.
Skip is survived by his former wife, Vicki Rau, their five children, Debra Navarrete and her fiancee' Chris Mott of Freehold, Toni and her husband Barry Epstein of Ocean, Michelle and her husband Jack Green of Interlaken, Danielle and her husband Jim Sintic of Ocean, and Anthony Dudick of Highspire, PA, his brother Michael Dudick and his sisters Janet Blatchley and Blanche Hartner, eleven grandchildren Gabrielle, Daniel, Britni, Rebecca, Adriana, Jack, Isabella, Zach, Anthony, Xavier, and King, and one great-grandchild Nathaniel.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 19 from 4pm – 7pm at the Woolley-Boglioli Funeral Home, 10 Morrell Street, Long Branch. A Funeral Home Service will be offered on Saturday, December 20 at 10am. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery, Monmouth Road, West Long Branch.
