It is with profound sadness that the family of Anthony Craig Durbin announces his passing on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the age of 65. He passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by the love and prayers of his family. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, at 2:00 PM at St Anthony Catholic Church with Father Hampton Davis officiating.
Born on August 12, 1960, to Herman and Pearl Durbin, Craig was a passionate outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing and hunting. His family was his greatest joy, and he cherished the time spent with them. One of his proudest moments was celebrating the accomplishment of his grandson, who graced the cover of the 2022 LA Recreational Fishing Regulations. Above everything, he enjoyed spending time with Marley and taking him fishing.
Craig's resilience and strength were evident in everything he did, whether it was taking his daughter and wife out for hunting and fishing trips or enjoying evenings by the fire outdoors. Known affectionately as "Bee" by his loving wife, he will be remembered for his unwavering love and the lasting impact he made on those around him.
For thirty-six years, Craig was a devoted husband to Cheryl Durbin. He is also survived by his daughter, Macy Douget, and her husband, Alex of Lacassine; his beloved grandson, Marley James Douget of Lacassine; and his brother, Luther Wayne Durbin of Eunice. Craig will be fondly remembered by extended family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Glenn Menard Durbin.
At the request of the family, a visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 4th, at Ardoin’s Funeral Home in Eunice from 10 am until the time of services. A rosary will be prayed at 1 PM by Deacon Gary Gaudin.
