Anthony Faraca Obituary
Obituary published on Legacy.com by Flynn & Son Funeral Home - Fords on Oct. 1, 2025.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Anthony Faraca-a man whose kindness, strength, and unwavering devotion enriched the lives of all who knew him. His journey on this earth was marked by countless acts of generosity, wisdom, and a spirit that uplifted family and friends alike.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy Faraca, and his cherished grandson, Louie Vasilakos. He leaves behind four children: Lee (Oscar) Gonzalez, Diane (John) Amabile, Anthony (Cathy) Faraca, and Christopher (Heather) Faraca; seven grandchildren, Christopher, Matthew, Samantha, Elizabeth, Anthony, Christina, and CJ; and one great-granddaughter, Kacey.
Our father faced life's joys and challenges with courage and grace and was always quick to offer a helping hand. His love for family was boundless, and his laughter filled our hearts with joy. Whether it was his advice during tough times or the way he delighted in family traditions, he made every moment a lesson in love.
Beyond his devotion to family, our dad found joy in his work. By trade, he was a Union Millwright/Carpenter from Local 65 in Perth Amboy until he retired.
He had a lifelong passion for cars and racing. He was a master of his crafts, always eager to teach and encourage others. He spent endless days and nights restoring old cars with his two sons, teaching them not only how to repair engines but to build them as well. Dad's garage echoed with a lot of laughter. It was more than just a project-it was a bond forged across generations. He passed along this hobby and love of racing not only to his sons, but also his grandson CJ who shares in his grandfather's excitement for racing.
During the last year of his life, he made the decision to stay with his first-born daughter and her family in Florida. His time with his daughter was one of great happiness and the care she provided for him was extremely generous and remarkable. She and her family made him smile every day and brought such joy to him until he took his final breath.
Though he may no longer walk beside us, his spirit will be felt in every act of kindness, every word of encouragement, and every moment of togetherness we share. We will miss him dearly, but his memory will live on through the stories we tell and the love he gave.
Now reunited in heaven with his parents, wife, grandson, and many friends, Anthony Faraca's legacy of love and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew him. He will always be loved and deeply missed.
Family and friends may visit at Flynn and Son/Mitruska Funeral Home, 23 Ford Ave., Fords on Friday, September 5, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Services will be private.
