Gloria Faraca Obituary

Published by Legacy on Dec. 17, 2024.
Gloria Faraca (Mancini)
August 28, 1943 - December 10, 2024
Gloria was the last of 7 children born to Salvatore and Rose Mancini. She is survived by siblings Beverly Mancini, Marlys Olson, Marie Gossard (sister-in-law), and Carol Carchia (more sibling than niece).
Children: Rosemarie Hulvey, Anthony Faraca, Angela Faraca, Lisa Winkler (Scott), Tanya Faraca, Melissa Fritze (Brent)
Grandchildren: Giovanni Faraca (Rebekka), Natalie Hulvey, Darian Faraca, Jade Graff (Justin), Paige Faraca, Karissa Tanner, Carter Tanner, Chaylia Schmidt (Rob), Brandon Winkler (Kendall), Connor Winkler, Herkamir Faraca, Stephanie Fritze, Andrew Fritze (Courtney), Carrera Campbell, Brittany Holden
Great Grandchildren: Christian Clark (Sacha), Gianna Faraca, Andrew Faraca, Adriaunna Faraca, Kenneth Schmidt, James Schmidt, Ryker Van Doren, Keatan Fritze, Brody Campbell, Baylor Winkler
Great-great Grandchildren: Calloway Clark
She was born and raised in north Spokane where she attended and graduated from Mary Cliff High School. She married Michael Faraca and together they raised their 6 children predominantly in the Spokane area. She was widowed in 2017 after 51 years of marriage to Mike. Gloria and Mike moved to the Spokane Valley in 1978 where they continued to raise the infamously rowdy Faraca brood. Through the years of child rearing she held several jobs, some standouts being a clerk for Kmart and a Bingo Caller at the Spokane Valley Eagles.
She and Mike were very active members at the Eagles. There they enjoyed music, dancing, cribbage, poker, and the many celebrations/get-togethers with years' long friends. Gloria retired from the Eagles after many years as a Bookkeeper, in 2017.
She spent her remaining years enjoying friends' or family get-togethers. She loved to offer up her amazing dishes or sample a new recipe while socializing long into the day or night. She loved watching many crime dramas or Jeopardy, and excitedly crocheted blankets for all the new babies when her hands complied. One of her biggest joys was road trips, cruises or any travel to places old and new.
Her love, and her shoulder shaking suppressed giggles will be sorely missed.
Sweet Gloria,
Good times never seemed so good
I've been inclined
To believe they never would
- a nod to Dad and Neil
