Obituary of Anthony J. Galella Jr.
Anthony J. Galella, 80, of Jackson passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 13, 2024 after a courageous months-long health battle. Anthony was a longtime resident of Bayonne. He grew up there and raised his own family there. He served in the US Army during the Vietnam War Era. He worked most of his career at AT&T starting as a draftsman and later as a Power Engineer then a Quality Engineer. He followed that with a second career at Tyco before retiring in 2004. In 2010, he moved to Four Seasons Metedeconk where he made many new friends while becoming an active member in their committees, clubs, and activities.
Tony was a devoted family man. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Rosemary, a daughter, a son, and four grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a celebration of his life memorial at Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 9:00 to 11:00 AM followed by services at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will take place in BG William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 350 Province Line Road, Arneytown.
