Anthony Garver Obituary

Anthony Michael Garver, 44 of Kansas City, passed away Sunday, Aug. 31, 2025. Born Feb. 19, 1981, in Osceola, to Bonnie Brown and Ronnie Garver. Anthony spent nearly 20 years working for Norfolk Southern Railroad in Kansas City. He loved cooking and trying new recipes. He enjoyed trying new restaurants. His sense of humor and ability to tell a joke never had him miss an opportunity to make you laugh. The last year, during Anthony's battle with throat cancer, he stayed strong and fought hard. Anthony will be remembered for his dapper style, handlebar mustache, and always being the best-dressed person in the room. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Rex and Carolyn Brown, and his grandfather, Earl Garver. He is survived by his dog and loyal companion, Rex; his mother and stepfather, Bonnie Brown and Jamie Weaver of Humansville; father and stepmother, Ronnie and Julie Garver; brothers, Branden and Stephanie Garver, of Humansville and Austin and Nikki Weaver of Humansville; nieces, Marlee Weaver, Whitlee Weaver, Alexis Aulner, Sabrina Roberts; nephews, Kirk Roberts and Zachary Garver; along with several great-nieces and -nephews and many friends. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be left to the Jane Pitt Pediatric Cancer Center or the Children's Miracle Network. Graveside services will be Friday, Sept. 5, at 1 p.m. at the Alder Cemetery in Stockton.
