Anthony Giorgio

GIORGIO, ANTHONY passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025 in the company of loved ones. He was 93.

Born and raised in Detroit, Anthony lived a large and meaningful life rooted in family, hard work, and service. He founded All State Fastener Corporation in 1963, a major global supplier in the fastener industry, and Vintage Wine Company in 1978. Both businesses are proudly multigenerationally family-run. A classic "American Dream" story, Anthony's career started from the ground up and was born from grit and professional acumen. A natural visionary and leader, he taught not only sound business principles, but the importance of relationships and fostering communities rooted in integrity, respect, and loyalty.

Together with close friends, he founded the Adios Children's Charity in 1990. Through initiatives and events, Adios aims to provide financial support to charities that enrich the lives of children in need. A dedicated benefactor and volunteer, Anthony was a long-standing member of the St. John's Guild, among other organizations. He served in the Korean war, suitably as a chef.

Anthony will be remembered not only for his wisdom and guidance, but sharp humor and wit. He traveled broadly and especially enjoyed hunting trips to Africa and seasons spent in south Florida with family and friends. As a member of Confrérie de la Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, one of the oldest gastronomic societies in the world, he cultivated an expansive culinary palette. He found great joy in simple but spirited moments spent in good company, which usually involved exceptional meals, good wine, and music. He began many of his Sunday mornings making a homemade pasta sauce to be shared with his family after a full day of cooking. His family, above all else, was the foundation of his life and his greatest joy.

Anthony's presence was larger than life and his absence will be deeply felt by those whose lives he touched. He is survived by his five children, Paula Monforton (Marty), Rosanne Bertakis (John), Michael Giorgio (Michelle), Nick Giorgio, and Anthony Giorgio (Chris); fifteen grandchildren, Cristina Buhe (Jonathan), Nicole Monforton, Nick Monforton, Nolan Monforton (Pria), Marissa Monforton, Cara Monforton, Marianna Bertakis, Christa Meier (Jordan), Alexandra Bertakis, Carina Bertakis, Angela Giorgio, Frank Giorgio (Alexandria), Trina Baldwin (Dan), Lauren Giorgio, and Tony Giorgio; five great-grandchildren, Isabella Buhe, Jackson Buhe, Mila Meier, Eliana Meier, Frank Giorgio Jr; and his sister Mary Venditti (Joseph). Anthony was predeceased by the late Mary Ann Giorgio, and his sisters Theresa Giorgio and Josephine Borillo (Pete).

Funeral will take place on Friday, February 13, 2026 with Memorial Visitation beginning at 9:30am at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church 157 Lake Shore Rd. (btw.
