Anthony Lynn Gossett, 65, of Pikeville, TN, passed away peacefully on October 4, 2025.
He was of the Baptist faith and served faithfully as Pastor at New Harmony Freewill Baptist Church. Anthony's life was devoted to sharing the Word of God and guiding others in their faith. He loved studying the Scriptures, reading Christian literature, and encouraging those around him to grow spiritually.
Beyond his ministry, Anthony found great joy in supporting his family. He loved watching his wife and daughter compete at horse shows and cheering for his daughter at rowing regattas. His life was a reflection of Christ's love by being -Christ-centered, prayerful, and marked by a gentle, approachable spirit that made even strangers feel safe to share their hearts. His playful and kind nature left a lasting impression on everyone blessed to know him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Gossett; and grandparents, John and Ella Gossett, and George and Bonzella Creasman.
He is survived by his loving wife, Kimberly Gossett; mother, Margaret Gossett; and cherished daughter, Maegan Gossett.
The family will be having a memorial service on October 9th at New Harmony Freewill Baptist Church (5546 New Harmony Road, Pikeville, TN 37367). Visitation will be from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM EST and service at 4:00 PM EST with food to follow. All times are eastern. Pastor Doyle Asburn will be officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to The Gideons International to provide Bibles in Anthony's memory. Donations can be made at www.gideons.org/donate.
Anthony's legacy of faith, love, and kindness will continue to touch hearts for generations to come.
