Visit the Nardolillo Funeral Home Inc. - Cranston website to view the full obituary.

77, passed away on March 24, surrounded by the love of his family, with his beloved dog Sadie by his side. Born on March 17, 1949, he lived a life defined by dedication to his craft and deep devotion to his family.

Tony grew up in Cranston, where he spent most of his adult life, and most recently resided in West Greenwich.

He was the beloved husband of Barbara (Tavano) Ialongo, with whom he would have celebrated 55 years of marriage on May 23rd. To his wife, he was always Anthony, a name spoken with love throughout their life together. He was a devoted father to Lynne Adams and her husband James, and Peter Ialongo and his wife Rita.

He was a proud and loving grandfather to Ella and Angelina, who brought him immense joy.

Born to Michele and Frances (Saccocia) Ialongo, Tony was the youngest of nine children. He is survived by his siblings Angela (Robert) Calvey and Michael Ialongo Jr. He was predeceased by his siblings Domenic Ialongo, Michele Ialongo, Joann (Jack) Healy, Marie (Fred) Cappello, Anna (Archie) Carpentier, and Lucy (Richard) Hammond.

Tony was a well-respected building contractor for over 45 years and a truly talented carpenter whose craftsmanship could be seen in the many projects he completed throughout his career. A former member of the Rhode Island Builders Association, he was known not only for his skill, but also for his generosity in sharing it-taking many young carpenters under his wing and teaching them the trade he loved.

Known for his great personality and sense of humor, Tony was a natural jokester who could make anyone smile.

He cherished time spent with his family, especially enjoying family vacations and the traditions that brought everyone together. He held a special place in his heart for his nieces and nephews and loved being surrounded by those he cared about most.

Tony will be remembered for his warmth, his skill, his laughter, and his deep love for family. His presence will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Kent Regency Rehabilitation Center, from the doctors and nurses to the CNAs, for the love and compassion shown during his care. They also wish to thank Continuum Hospice for their professionalism, compassion, and support, and Lifetime Medical for providing dedicated CNA care.

His Funeral will be held on Tuesday, March 31st at 8:45 a.m. from the NARDOLILLO FUNERAL HOME & Crematory, 1278 Park Ave., Cranston followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Rd, Warwick. Burial will take place in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. VISITING HOURS will be Monday, March 30th from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m.
