Anthony Imbesi Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Bocco Funeral Home on Oct. 11, 2025.
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Anthony James Imbesi, who departed this life peacefully at home on September 29, 2025, at the age of 87. Beloved father of Lori Imbesi, Michael (Sara) Imbesi, Deborah Imbesi and Jennifer Imbesi. Loving grandfather of Silas, Sydney and Liam. Cherished brother of Frances Imbesi. Dear cousin of Theresa Mikulski. Former husband of Livia Imbesi. Dear friend of Aimee Dalley and Bill Riff. Predeceased by his brother Edward Gorak.
Anthony was born on September 12, 1938, in Collingswood, NJ, to Vincent and Josephine Imbesi. He grew up with a love for reading, a strong work ethic, and an unwavering sense of humor that stayed with him throughout his life.
A devoted father, Anthony was a man of integrity and kindness. He spent his early years running a commercial laundry, Master Laundry and Master Linen Rental Service in Camden, NJ that served some of the region's largest restaurants and New Jersey's famed casinos. He served in the National Guard from 1956 -1962. Additionally, he was a member of the Sons of Italy and NJ AMVETS Post 77 in Sewell, NJ.
He enjoyed gardening, listening to classical music, and endless hours of board games. A few of his favorites included Monopoly, TriOminos, Chess, Backgammon, and of course Uno. Don't ever forget to call Uno when you're down to your last card or you were sure to draw four.
Anthony will be remembered for his warm spirit, quiet strength, and sense of humor that touched so many people. He will be deeply missed.
Relatives and friends of the family will meet for the visitation and funeral on Saturday morning, October 18th from 10:00AM to 11:00AM at Christ The King R.C. Parish, 200 Windsor Ave., Haddonfield, NJ 08033. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00am Saturday. Entombment St. Joseph's Cemetery Mausoleum, Blackwood, NJ. In lieu of flowers, the family prefer's donations in Anthony's memory to Mantua VFW Lawson-Cox Post, 8 New York Ave., Mantua, NJ 08051. Arr. by BOCCO FUNERAL HOME, Cherry Hill, NJ.
