Anthony G. Lama

Anthony G. Lama 96, of Paramus formerly of Manahawkin and Lodi passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2025. Born in Lodi to the late Frances and Salvatore Lama. Before retiring, he was a Sociology teacher and Director of Activities at Lodi High School where he worked for forty years. Anthony was a former Lodi councilman and served for eight years. He was a member of the Lodi Moose and a former member of the Lions Club and the Italian-American Forum both in Lodi. Beloved husband of the late Jacqueline (nee Grapentine) Lama. Devoted father of Christine Buschgans and her husband Robert, Francine Althoff and her husband William and Marie Venezia and her husband Christopher. Dear brother of Salvatore Lama, Lucille Cammarata and the late Frank Lama and Roseanne Martens. Loving grandfather of eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Funeral from Costa Memorial Home Boulevard and Central Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights on Monday, November 3rd at 9 AM. Funeral Liturgy from St. Joseph's R.C. Church in Lodi at 10 AM. Interment following at St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. Visitation Sunday, November 2nd from 1 - 4 PM at the funeral home.
