Anthony Peter Laviano, 61, of Weeki Wachee, Florida passed away July 7, 25 at his home surrounded by family, loved ones, and his pets.
Tony was born in Peekskill, New York and grew up between New York and Florida with a small stent in Hawaii. As a young adult he settled into Spring Hill Florida as a career EMT/Paramedic/Emergency Department RN and eventually obtained his Masters Degree in Nursing from the University of Tampa and became a practicing Family Nurse Practitioner. Recognizing a community need along with his wife they opened the first Urgent Care center in Hernando county in 2006, Care One of Florida which has grown to three locations servicing Hernando and Pasco County. Tony also launched business endeavors of Care One Property Management, Weeki Wachee Outpost, and Laviano Properties. The most important thing to Tony was his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, papa, son in law, brother, uncle, nephew and friend. Tony was also a volunteer coach. He in recent years Coached Hernando Youth League (HYL) Brooksville Softball Division, HYL Hernando Haze Travel Ball Division, Manager of Hernando Haze Travel Team, Former Volunteer Assistant Coach Weeki Wachee High School, Babe Ruth Softball District 9 Director, Over the Years Volunteer Coach for Hernando Heat soccer and YMCA Youth Basketball
Hobbies over the years – Fishing, boating, camping,bowling, playing cards, woodworking, antique car restoration, bird watching, chicken raising, and gun collecting just to name a few.
Tony was diagnosed suddenly with an aggressive form of cancer in May of 2024 and he battled until the very end as he was not ready to leave this earth and those that he loved but God called him home on July 7, 2025.
He is predeceased by his parents, Dominico and Lillian Laviano; step-son, Trey Cornwell; and nephew, Douglas Laviano.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Stacie Laviano; children, Troy Cornwell and his wife, Sarah, Travis Cornwell, Anthony Laviano, Trevor Laviano, Taylor Laviano, and Melissa Gariepy; grandchildren, Drake Cornwell, John Turcer, Elias Cornwell, Benjamin Cornwell, Abigail Cornwell; brother, Pasquale Laviano and his wife, Kathleen; nieces, Patricia Lightcap and her husband, Gary; nephew, Domenick Laviano; loving family and friends.
Favorite sports team attire welcomed and encouraged at the Reception following the service.
