Anthony Muchiri "Tony" Maina

Obituary
Anthony Muchiri Maina, of Takoma Park, Maryland passed away suddenly on May 13, 2023. Anthony was born April 2, 1963, to the late Jotham Maina Muchiri and Millicent Nyambura Maina in Nyeri, Kenya.
He was the loving father of Nelly Lynn Nyambura Muchiri, Jessica Nyambura Muchiri and Anthony Maina Muchiri Jr. He was grandfather to Veronique Wanjiru and Laurel Wandia.
He was a brother to The late David Gichu, Nelly Wanjiru, George Gichimu, Julius Kirugo, Josephine Wangechi, Jack Justus Githaiga, Jedidah Nyaihiga and Andrew Muriithi and half-brother to Daniel Kariuki, John Mbuthia and Kesiah Wangari.
He was a loving uncle to many nieces and nephews. He loved his cousins, aunties and uncles and was always reaching out to them.
He went to Chinga Boys High School. He later migrated to the USA and graduated with BA in Accounting and later a master's in accounting from Strayer University in Takoma Park, Maryland.
Anthony had a great sense of humor and brought so much joy to many. He loved helping others and enjoyed a good discussion about politics and history. He was great at building relationships with his family and friends. He also enjoyed cooking for his family and friends.
The funeral service will take place on June 3rd, 2023, at Donald V Borgwardt Funeral Home starting at 10:00 am before proceeding to the burial site at Maryland National Memorial Cemetery.
