Cosmas Mumu Maina, of Colmar, PA, passed away on August 10th 2025 and went to be with Our Lord Jesus, surrounded by his ever-loving family. Cosmas was born on March 11th 1987 to Frederick & Pauline Maina in Nairobi, Kenya. Brother to Damian Maina of Lansdale, PA & Lily Melania Maina of Doylestown, PA; Uncle to Zahra ( Lily's daughter), among other nieces and nephews; cousin to many; and a dear friend to many.

Cosmas cherished life abundantly and found pleasure in the simplest and mundane activities. A gentle, warm, and loving soul whose joy irradiated brightly and touched everyone who he came across. He loved listening to the Kenyan Music genre and watching his favorite shows on Disney Channel. His affectionate nature and uncanny ability to strike up conversation with anyone saw him establish friendships with very many people throughout his life. In particular, Cosmas shared a very special bond with his mother Pauline. Cosmas attended various educational institutions, in Kenya and here in America where in addition to receiving formal education, he acquired skills in craft-making and artwork and winning everyone's heart.

His untimely death has left a huge void in our hearts. Though our souls are heavy with grief and sorrow, we cherish the sweet memories our beloved Cosmas created and shared with family and friends. Cosmas, may your soul rest in the eternal presence of Our Lord Jesus, till we meet again. May the Peace of our Lord Jesus and His Grace comfort us.

Funeral will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 at the Nativity of Our Lord Church, 605 Street Rd, Warminster, PA 18974. Friends can begin arriving at the church at 10AM to condole with the family. Mass will begin at 11AM promptly. Burial will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 W Cheltenham Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19150.
