Obituary published on Legacy.com by Decker-Givnish Funeral Home on Feb. 15, 2026.
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Virginia Emily (Tunstall) Clark, on February 14, 2026, in the comfort of her home, surrounded by family, after a long battle with Alzheimer's Disease.
Virginia was born in Philadelphia on December 1, 1938, and was the only child of the late George and Bessie Tunstall. She was educated in the Philadelphia school system and attended Frankford High School.
In her early life, she enjoyed playing basketball and was a huge Elvis Presley fan. She began her working career as a telephone operator and then worked in sales. Later in life, she changed careers and became a certified nursing assistant at the Masonic Home. She subsequently transitioned to a unit clerk position, serving until her retirement in 2000.
The most important thing in Virginia's life was her family, which she cherished above all else. She raised her three children with abundant love and was an essential presence in her grandchildren's lives.
Virginia became a wonderful cook, and any party that she hosted was legendary. She was always worried if there was enough food for everyone. But it was a guarantee that you were never hungry when you left her house.
She greatly enjoyed cooking, crocheting, decorating, playing cards, and socializing with family and friends. Christmastime was a prime example of her decorating skills, and her home looked like a true winter wonderland. She was also a huge fan of reality T.V. shows and kept the DVR very busy!
She was a serious lover of animals and was fiercely devoted to every dog that she ever owned.
Mom, you were the absolute rock and the heart of our family- we love you, and we will all miss you very much. You will never be forgotten.
Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Linda, and her husband, Raymond Garges, with whom she resided in
Warminster, PA; her son David Clark and his wife Beth, also of Warminster; her daughter-in-law, Angela Tunstall of
Watertown, Ct, and her stepson William Whitmore and his wife Joanne of
Palm Bay, Fl.
She also leaves her grandchildren, Gregory Tunstall and Geoffrey Tunstall of
Watertown, Ct, Randolph Kinsky III, Ryan Kinsky and his wife Jennifer, and Lindsay Kinsky of Warminster, David Clark Jr., US Army stationed in Texas, April Clark and Nina Clark of Warminster, her two step-grandsons, Sean Harris and Keith Harris of
Warrington, PA. and her step- granddaughter Shannon Kilroy of
Philadelphia, PA. And, finally, she leaves her great-grandson, Kaiden Clark of New Jersey. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her eldest child, George John Tunstall.
A special thank you must go out to Lois Garges for the wonderful care and companionship that she gave our mom over the past couple of years.
A memorial service for Virginia will be held in the coming months. Please check back for service information.
