SILVER LAKE- Anthony Vincent “Vince” Mandala was born on January 30, 1949 and passed away June 20, 2023 surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Anthony and Theresa, and his younger brother, Bob. He is survived by his daughter, Tara (Rick) Cerrito, three beautiful grandchildren, Nicolo, Joey, and Gina Cerrito; brothers, John (Jennifer), Bart (Marcia); and sister, Luanne Worthington; sister-in-law, Trisha Mandala; his former wife and treasured friend, Lucretia; many loving nieces and nephews and many more great nieces and nephews. Vince and his father, brothers and sister built two successful businesses in Akron, Alco and Building Care. He retired from the family business 7 years ago, and spent his winter in Lauderdale by the Sea, enjoying the sun and making memories with friends and family. He enjoyed many concerts at Blossom over the years. Vince loved watching the Browns and Buckeyes with his grandsons, playing golf here and in Florida and going to the Indians/Guardians games. He loved and lived life to the fullest.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the Palliative Care Nurses at Summa Hospital for the wonderful care they gave him and the support they gave to the family.
Visitation will be held 2-5 PM on Sunday June 25, 2023, at the Clifford-Shoemaker Funeral Home, 1930 Front St. Cuyahoga Falls, OH 44221, where a funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Monday June 26. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital and Summa Palliative Care, 161 North Forge Street, Suite 198, Akron, OH 44304.

I have known Vince since elementary school. He was a great guy. Someone you could always count on. He will be missed. Sincere condolences to the family.

Vince was good friend all through junior and high school and later in live at reunions and visits to Naples FL. I will miss him. Sympathies to his family. May he rest in peace.
