Anthony Martinez Obituary

Anthony Salome Martinez entered eternal rest on August 1, 2022, at the age of 49. He was born on August 25, 1972, to Andrew and Gloria Martinez.

He is preceded in death by his father. He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife, Monica Martinez; mother, Gloria Martinez; sister, Andrea Ramirez; brothers, Joe Juarez, Roy Juarez, Ernest Juarez, Roland Martinez, and Andrew Martinez; numerous other loving family members and friends.

Anthony was born and raised in San Antonio and is a 1990 graduate of Harlandale High School. Anthony, along with many friends, founded the Harlandale Tribe and Community Tailgate. He was a spirited alumnus who loved to gather classmates and friends to keep the HHS spirit alive. Through the years, Anthony was a committee member of both the Friends of Harlandale Golf Classic and the Harlandale ISD-Chuck Boggus Golf Tournament making great efforts to raise money for HISD students.

Anthony began his lifelong career in insurance in 1998 earning several awards and recognitions throughout the years, most impressively earning Top Sales Producer in the Nation several years in a row. He was an active member of the Insurance Associates of Corpus Christi, Insurance Professionals of El Paso, the Federation of Insurance Women of Texas, Insurance Women of San Antonio, Independent Insurance Agents (IIA) of Texas along with local chapters of the IIA in the Rio Grande Valley, El Paso, Houston, the Coastal Bend and San Antonio.

Anthony's heart and generosity was as large as Texas! He donated regularly to his church, to the Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan Del Valle and to his community.

Anthony loved the outdoors and was happiest at his ranch tending his cattle or hunting, at the coast fishing with his wife, golfing and spending time with family and friends living life to the fullest. Anthony loved his Rottweilers: Tre and Dre, his Weimaraners: Brody and Daisy and his rescue dog: Harry.

Anthony's charming personality was magnetic, and he made friends everywhere he went. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
