Mr. Anthony Glenn "Amp" McDonald Sr.

The Funeral Service for Mr. Anthony Glenn McDonald, Sr. of Americus, Georgia will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, at 1:00 p.m. at Whole Truth International Ministries on S. Lee Street in Americus, Georgia. Burial will follow at Old Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.

Mr. Anthony Glenn McDonald, affectionately known as "Amp," was born on January 9, 1973, in Americus, Georgia to Ms. Yvonne McDonald and Mr. Sammie Parker, Sr. He was educated in the Sumter County public school system. At an early age he joined the New Birth Holiness Church under the direction of Rev. Ivory Jenkins. "Amp" was a devoted father, brother and cherished friend to many. He worked at Railway Freight Company in Americus, Georgia for over 15 years.

On January 6, 2026, at Phoebe-Sumter Medical Center, God called "Amp" to his eternal rest.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his children: Tybria (Crystal) Ricks, Brianna Johnson, Anthony McDonald, Jr., Braxton Jenkins and Desmond Lyles; his parents: Yvonne McDonald and Sammie Parker, Sr.; a devoted friend of over 10 years, Katrina Muff; three sisters: Angela Parker, Shaneisha Parker and JoAnna Parker; three brothers: Sammie (Kathy) Parker, Jr., Darrell (Jimisha) McDonald and Paul (Deshanti) McDonald; two grandchildren: Kammeyon Dice and Kentorie McDonald; two aunts: Edith McDonald and Stella Dotson; one uncle Karl McDonald, Sr. His Railway Freight family along with several other relatives and friends.
