Anthony J. Medico

Anthony "Ray" Medico, a longtime resident of New Rochelle, passed away peacefully on December 12, 2025, at the age of 83.
Born in Manhattan to Mary and Louis Medico, Ray grew up with a sense of practicality and quiet determination that guided him throughout his life. In 1964, he married Judy, who predeceased him in December 2020. Together, they built a life rooted in shared experiences and family, raising three children.
Ray is survived by his children Wendy Tufo (Anthony), Robyn Fagen (Brian), and Dean Medico; his grandchildren Alycia, Samantha, and Anthony Tufo, Jake and Chase Fagen, and Milla and Luca Medico; his great-grandchildren Dane Armiento and Mia DiFazio; and his sisters Jean Denslow, Irene Salerno, and Marie Devito. He was predeceased by his brother, Louie Medico.
Ray took great pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren and cherished time spent surrounded by his family. He took special joy in watching them grow, and they brought him lasting happiness and pride.
Professionally, Ray spent many years as a superintendent at Calcedo Construction Corp., where he was known for his dependability, strong work ethic, and straightforward nature. He retired in 2019.
Ray appreciated the good things in life: time with family and friends, music, traveling, sunny days at the beach-especially in the Hamptons-and savoring a good cigar. He loved sharing his sarcastic and cynical sense of humor, which revealed his true personality and endeared him to so many. He lived life on his own terms, always ready with a quick remark and a knack for finding humor in nearly every situation. Independent and spirited to the end, he will be remembered for his authenticity and unmistakable charm.
