Anthony Mello Obituary

ANTHONY J. MELLO Anthony J. "Tony" Mello, 65, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at the Clinton Hospital after being stricken ill at home.   He is survived by his beloved wife of 20 years, Karen B. (Moore) Mello; his three children, Lucas Mello, Amanda Mello, and Lance Mello & wife Angie; and five adoring grandchildren, Landon, Lane, Kinsley, Thiago, and Isabella.  He leaves his mother, Dolores (Portella) Mello; siblings and their spouses, Lori Marshall & Del, Lynn Vargas & John, and Wayne Mello & Melissa; aunts, uncles, generations of nieces, nephews, extended family, and many dear friends.  He is pre-deceased by his infant son, Anthony J. Actively involved in his community, Tony was a long-time member of St. John the Guardian of Our Lady Parish in Clinton and held membership with the PAV (Portuguese American Veterans) and Crystal Club. Among his many hobbies and interests, he was a faithful fan of NASCAR and enjoyed completing countless jigsaw puzzles and home repair projects.  Known for his work ethic, stubbornness, and sense of humor, Tony will be best remembered as a loving family man, devoted husband, proud father, and grandfather.   Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 PM on Friday, January 23, 2026, in the Philbin-Comeau Funeral Home, 176 Water St., Clinton.
