I am deeply saddened to hear of the passing of our retired brother officer, Anthony Mezzacappa.
Anthony and I worked at Ground Zero in the early hours of September 16, 2001.
Anthony was not only a dedicated officer; you could always count on him to have your back.
Thank you, brother. You will be missed!

Officer Mezzacappa,
On today, the 1st anniversary of your death I would just like to say thank you for your service and sacrifice-not just as a Law Enforcement Officer but for our Country as well when you served with the U.S. Army. And to your Family and loved ones, I wish to extend my deepest sympathy.

Although I did not know Tony for a long time, he was part of our Cancer Group from the wall trade center. I met him four months ago and I remember him as being a very upbeat positive person. He was a big part of our group and he will so miss him, I wish him a quick journey to heaven to sit with God and all those that went before him for one day we will join him and see him we can God bless you, Tony
