Anthony Conrad Miller was born on February 14, 1954 to Burnice A. Sr. and Pernell Frederick Miller in Warsaw, NC. Anthony passed away peacefully on April 17,2025, at home in Bronx, NY, he was 71 years old.
Anthony grew up in Warsaw, NC, graduating from James Kenan High School in 1974. Upon graduation, he joined the US Army and served his country proudly from 1974 until 1977. After his honorable discharge, he moved to New York City, where he met his life partner, Julia L. Hernandez, while they were both serving in the NY Army National Guard. Julia and Anthony spent forty years together, building a life filled with shared memories, quiet routines, and moments of joy that deepened their bond.
Anthony was a man whose infectious laughter lit up a room and whose compassion and embracing nature touched the hearts of everyone he met. He loved his family and friends deeply and lived life passionately
Anthony leaves to cherish his memories his partner, Julia Hernandez, Bronx, NY; three sisters:
Burnell M. Ashford (John), Warsaw, NC, Rebecca Miller, Ft. Washington, MD and Ingrid L. Miller-Williams ( Marcellous), South Orange, NJ; four brothers: Ret. Vet. Nat C. Miller (Wanda), Vet. Mark S. Miller (Jackie), Vet. Alfonso Miller (Juliet) and Vet. Alfred Miller all of Fayetteville, NC; 20 nieces and nephews, including 4 nieces he called his daughters (Tamara, Ingrid, Joycelyn & Marcelyn) and a host of grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and friends.
Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Burnice A. Sr. and Pernell F. Miller, and a brother, Burnice A. Miller Jr.
