Anthony Minicucci Obituary

Anthony L. Minicucci Sr., 95, of Trafford, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, 2025. He was born Nov. 3, 1929, in Pitcairn, son of the late Rocco and Theresa (Marrone) Minicucci, and loving husband to the late Mary Margaret McGettigan Minicucci. Tony served in the Army from 1954 to 1956 as an SP-3(T) in the Infantry. Known for his strong work ethic, Tony worked at Westinghouse Research in Churchill for over 40 years and was then employed at ABB High Voltage Equipment, where he worked well into his 80s. Tony was a member of St. Regis Church, Trafford. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to everyone he knew. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Josephine Etters and Levia Masserelli. Tony is survived by his children, Terri Riley and husband, Bill, of Mt. Lebanon, Tony Minicucci Jr. and wife, Mary, of Atlanta, GA; retired Army Lt. Col. Rocco "Rocky" Minicucci and wife, Beth, of High View, WV; retired Marine Lt. Col. Joseph T. Minicucci and wife, Patti, of Palmetto, FL; and David R. Minicucci, of Pittsburgh. He is also survived by 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; his sister, Jenny Baumgartner; and numerous nieces and nephews. Family and friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at JOHN M. DOBRINICK FUNERAL HOME INC., 702 Seventh St. (State Route 130), Trafford, 412-372-3111. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, 2025, in the St. Regis Church, 517 Homewood Ave., Trafford, with Fr. Daniel Carr as celebrant. If you are planning to attend Anthony's funeral Mass, everyone please go directly to the church. Military honors will follow his funeral Mass at St. Regis. A private interment will be in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville, Washington County. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society, 320 Bilmar Drive, Pittsburgh, PA 15205.
