Anthony Wayne Moore, 76, of Thomastown, Mississippi passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at his residence. Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m., Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Jordan Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 3:00 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Moore’s Family Cemetery, 6432 Highway 43 South, Kosciusko, Mississippi 39090. Rev. Rick Hammarstrom and Rev. Randall Creel will officiate services.
Anthony was born on December 8, 1948, to Herbert Wayne Moore and Mary Aline Smith Moore in Mississippi. He was a long-time member of Thomastown Baptist Church where he served as Trustee, Chairman of Deacons, served on the Building and Grounds Committee, and served on the Pastor search committee. Anthony retired from the logging business after 37 years, where he was the co-owner of Moore’s Logging with his sons. He enjoyed gardening every year. He worshipped his wife, Brenda “Bit” for 56 years in marriage, and worshipped his children and grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Anthony is survived by his wife, Brenda “Bit” Moore of Kosciusko, Mississippi; sons, Scott (Lisa) Moore of Thomastown, Mississippi, Paul Wayne Moore of Singleton, Mississippi, and Misty (Wade) Moore of Thomastown; grandchildren, Justin (Haley) Moore, Morgan (Hunter) McDill, Isaac Moore, Preston Moore, Ally Moore, Kevin Moore, Colby (Hanna) Moore, and Makenzie Moore; and great-grandchild, Westin McDill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert Wayne Moore and Mary Aline Smith Moore.
Serving as pallbearers are Justin Moore, Isaac Moore, Kevin Moore, Preston Moore, Colby Moore, and Tim Merchant.
