Anthony Julian Navarro Cuenca

12/12/2008~11/8/2025

Anthony Julian Navarro Cuenca, age 16, passed away on November 8, 2025, at his family home in Roy, Utah. He was born on December 12, 2008, in Salt Lake City, Utah, and was a beloved son, brother, nephew, teammate, and friend whose bright spirit deeply touched all who knew him.

Anthony was a dedicated student and athlete who attended the Utah Military Academy in Riverdale beginning in 2021, when he entered the seventh grade. From a young age, he had a profound love for soccer and dreamed of one day playing professionally. Through his years at UMA, he took meaningful steps toward that dream, consistently showing discipline, passion, and an unwavering work ethic.

Those who knew Anthony remember him for his determination, his kindness, and his ability to bring out the best in others. He inspired teammates, classmates, coaches, and friends by demonstrating that hard work is not only a pathway to success but also a way to become the best version of oneself. His legacy is one of perseverance, heart, and quiet leadership.

Anthony is lovingly survived by his family, each of whom held a special place in his heart:

• His mother, Zitlali, who he knew cared for him deeply.

• His father, Jaime, whose firmness he understood came from compassion.

• His younger brother, Sebastian, whose intelligence he admired.

• His younger sister, Yaretzi, whom he cherished for her creativity.

• His older brothers, Emiliano and Alexis, the latter of whom he respected for his strength.

• His nephew, Jack, for whom he hoped to be a guiding influence.

Anthony’s memory will continue to live on in the countless lives he touched and in the community that loved him dearly.

A Mass will be held Thursday, November 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at the St. Mary’s Catholic Church 4050 S. 3900 W. West Haven, Utah. Following this service, there will also be a Funeral Service Thursday, November 20, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at the Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 W. 5600 S. Roy, Utah.
